Like all businesses, we are following government guidelines and enacting a series of precautions for the safety of our customers and staff in relation to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. BOOKING & PAYMENT The booking was made by you and accepted by us subject to our Standard Terms and Conditions of Hire and in particular your attention is drawn to Clause 4 with reference to the Hire Fee and and booking/security/damage Deposit.
CANCELLATION If it is necessary for you to cancel your booking, please contact us ONLY by PHONE or TEXT at the very earliest opportunity on 07866 732537. If you fail to cancel your booking by 09:00 hrs on the day of the Date of Hire you will forfeit your Deposit.
FAILURE TO ARRIVE OR LATE ARRIVAL If you do not cancel your booking and fail to arrive for your Hire you will forfeit your Deposit. If you arrive late for your Hire (even if it is not your fault) you may still be charged for the period of the Hire and at busy times it is unlikely that we will be able to extend your Hire as the boat may be booked out directly after. We will always do our very best to accommodate a change in times etc. but please call us ASAP to help us make it possible.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PERSONS AND WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS Please note the boats are licensed for a maximum of 6 persons (children are people too) with a combined weight not exceeding 450Kg. The boats are perfect for mixed family groups, however 6 adults may breach the weight limit. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that all members of the crew fall below the combined 450Kg limit.

WEATHER We would only want you to go out when the weather is good to ensure you enjoy your time on the water and see the very best that Poole Harbour has to offer and for this reason all Hires are subject to weather. If you are in any doubt about the weather before you set off, please call us. All cancellations due to bad weather are non-chargeable and you will not forfeit your Deposit.
ARRIVAL TIME Please arrive promptly at or just before your booked time. We will then complete your handover before your time on the water begins. Weekends and Bank Holidays are clearly our busiest times and the traffic is of course at its worst around Poole, so do leave plenty of time to find us.
LOCATION Poole Boat Hire is based on B Pontoon in front of the Marina Office at Cobbs Quay Marina. One of our representatives will be there to greet you, however, during busy times you may have to wait a few minutes if we are completing another handover. We apologise, in advance, if there is a delay. Any delay on our part will not affect your hire period. A map can be downloaded here, and our postcode is BH15 4EL (Entrance to Cobbs Quay Marina is off Woodlands Avenue).
PARKING When you drive into Cobbs Quay Marina follow the signs for the Marina Office turning right into the main car park, then make your way towards the Marina Office and B Pontoon.
WHERE TO GO There are lots of places to go in the harbour (Please note boats are only coded for use within the Harbour). You will be given a full briefing and on board will be a guide containing satellite images of the harbour and a proper nautical chart. WHAT TO BRING Our boats are not quite ocean going cruise liners and it can feel cooler on the water. Please be sure to bring some warm clothes just in case. Feel free to bring your own picnic and for hotter days don’t forget drinks and sunscreen as the sun can be much fiercer on the water. The boats are great for fishing so do feel free to bring rods etc. Please keep your mobile close by on the day of the Hire in case we need to contact you.
